    Very often one finds a coin with one side well preserved and interesting and the other side badly damaged or badly preserved(often with bronze coins: uninteresting ?
    Nevertheless the coin is worth buying for its interesting side.Here is an example of a Sestertius from Antoninus Pius with a miserable obverse but intere Trumphbest.jpg sting Triumph reverse:

    I collect Mark Anthony legionary denarius. I almost never even look or consider the obverse as it is the reverse that is interesting to me. Case in point:

    That is a great portrait of Marcus Aurelius. The face is unmistakable.
