I tried to do that, but can't seem to copy and paste correctly with this tablet. No doubt, only problem with me, not the tablet. LOL.

Lack of silver. All silver went to minting the bullion versions.

 

I have a subscription for one, thats enough for me. Lol I haven't even opened my one 2016 Proof SAE.

 

Does anyone know if the Mint is going to have anything special for their 225th Anniversary?

 

If they do they'll make a mess of it

I bought a proof 2016 and boy that edge lettering is nothing to look at in my opinion

And when did they start making Silver dimes and 50c?

 

1992 on both the dime and half. They did the half in silver clad in 1976.

 

The mint could have done something crazy. Maybe by using reeded edge in the set.

 

I dont understand Why they are using the W Burnished silver eagle to celebrate the 30th anniversary? The Burnished eagle has only been available since 2006 (10 years) And 2009 & 2010 there were none. Not part of the proof or bullion eagles that have been available for 30 years. The only reason i can think of is to try and boost the sales of the Burnished eagle and make more $$$$.

 

It is the 30th anniversary of the program. There were no proofs in 2009 either.

 

'Burnished' is nothing more than a gimmick. Never known anyone who could tell the difference between a BU bullion eagle and a burnished one without relying on the mint mark to do so and if that mint mark wasn't there they'd be no different. Now this year the addition of edge lettering could also be used to ID the 'burnished' coins as well.
