Hi, (Steve), Like me, you buy coins that you like the look of, (rather than 'rarity'). I just liked the look of Julian's expression. It is different to most of his coins. He seems to be facing left but looking sideways at you. He also seems to be 'haggard' as if after a battle. Julian II Apostate, 362-363AD. AE20.3mm., 2.11gm. Obv: DN FL CL IVLIANVS PF AVG, pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust left, holding spear and shield Rev: VOT X MVLT XX in four lines within laurel wreath. Mintmark palm branch-BSISC-dot. Siscia. (Rare)
Very cool OP-addition, Topcat ... I agree that he seems to watching you, eh? (with attitude!!) Hey coincidentally, I also have a cool example of this type (wanna see it?) great coin => hey, we're coin-brothers!!

Cool portraits guys----very expressive! My only photographed example is a 'bull variety' with a stern kind of portrait expression.
