Hallo my friends. Coins of Latin America is one of my favourite threads. I can't say that I have big Colombian collection, but it is rather interesting, I think.

One centavo 1952 & 1973.
It is interesting that they use an old Latin figure.

 

Two centavos 1938.
Old latin figure again.

 

These is a couple of 5-centavos coins 1886 with different design. And we can see "normal" figures.

 

5 centavos 1955. Old Latin figure. I don't know: is it lawful means of payment now or no?

 

I like this silver coin very much. I got it for $3 only.

 

Not silver. But very interesting design. Isn't it?

 

Very simple design. I can not say that this is my favourite Colombian coin.

 

20 centavos 1956 & 1967. Coins with different design. I like the first (1956) more than the second (1967).

 

25 centavos 1979 with very simple design of reverse.

 

This is my favourite Colombian coin.
50 centavos 1884. UNITED STATES of Colombia!

 

50 centavos 1934. REPUBLIC of Colombia.

 

50 centavos 1959. Not silver coin, but very nice design.

 

And couple of coins yet.

 

Very nice peso 1967. Unusual shape!

 

One peso 1974. Common and cheap coin from box.

 

2 pesos 1978. Poor quality of production and primitive design.

 

Two commemorative coins - 5 pesos 1968 and 1971.

 

5 pesos 1980. Common coin from circulation. Woman on obverse - it is Policarpa (heroine of Colombian Independence Movement during the Independence war against Spain. She has been executed by colonialists).

 

50 pesos 1991.
