I suggest using a white background so the viewer can gauge your white balance. Are you using some sort of post processing? Your images look pixelated or something. Personally, I use no post-processing other than to crop and resize for web use. I rely on my camera, lighting and how I position both relative to the coin to get good pictures.
I was using a digital zoom so the image filled the frame. I am trying again without zooming to see if there is more detail if I just crop in post- processing instead.

A silky Satan finish on this coin. Can't seem to capture the texture. And then a nice little surprise on the date.
Good morning. Just took a closer look at your coin, and think I'm seeing doubling inside the loops of the eight. Also on the reverse ICA of America.
This is a later die state. The picture is showing the die wear, as possible MD doubling. This one is not Md though.
