1925 wheat penny

    IMG_2107.PNG IMG_2108.PNG hello! i came across a wheat penny today when i was looking through some pocket change. could somebody please help me identify it and its value? i tried to look online but almost every source says something differant.

    Sure about what? Cointrackers website is a well known website.
    Yours is not in great condition so in my opinion it could be just .55 Cents

    Actually you did him a favor. Coin World list it for .35 in very fine but it does not appear to be much better than a VG which lists for .15. That scrape on the head won't help much either.

    At the upper end of the scale, you can get one like this for $30. So they are not too hard to get even in this condition.

    I agree with the others. This coin is probably worth somewhere in the 15-25 cent range. It's a fun find but a very common date.

    The key to the 1925 is that it was a really bad year for strike quality. So while plentiful in MS, good quality of strike; not so much.
