I posted this once before in the error coins forum. One forum member there gave me confirmation that this indeed was a error coin and not PDM. And so now I'm posting my coin here to get an idea of what it's worth. Thanks in advance for your input.
Aside from the lamination, it's a low grade damaged coin, which makes it even more difficult than if problem free to nail down a value. Unfortunately, because of this, many otherwise potential buyers will have little to no interest unless very cheap. All things considered, in order to maximize the selling price you're going to need to connect with the "right" buyer at the right time. Yes, this can be said for most any coin, but with this one it's an absolute necessity. Perhaps search completed eBay listings for coins (start with type) displaying the similar and see what premium (above normal, taking any problems into consideration) they've sold for and go from there. You can also go fishing, but just don't expect a whopper to bite. I fear any premium paid by a knowledgeable collector will be modest at best.
