My avatar speaks for itself. Something I never thought I'd see in my lifetime: a Cubs World Series win! Guess it will stay up until spring training in 2017.
During the Cubs playoff run, one of their rallying cries (and twitter hashtags) was "X More wins) #XMoreWins. I posted a graphic on my Facebook page each time with the Cubs Logo and the number of wins left for a World Championship inside the "C". When they won the World Series, the graphic replaced the number of wins remaining with the World Series Championship trophy itself inside the "C".
I'm really digging @SuperDave's new avatar. Just wanted to say that. Its pretty awesome and sticks out nicely in threads
Mine is a 1978 Hutt River Dollar in Proof. With a mintage of 500 it is one of the lowest mintages for a Holey dollar I have. I just wish there would have been a dump for it as well like the Australian Dollars. I also love the controversy that goes on with the money and stamps he has issued. But having him take a stand against the Australian government initially based on grain quotas was what really attracted me. I was born and raised in the bread basket of Canada, Saskatchewan so it was a really a natural interest to me.
After reading the above text one has to wonder what Freud would think? I'm going with either Morgan Envy! Or you're buying into Dave's schizophrenia.
I love tent camping, pretty color combinations, sunsets and the perceived freedom that comes along with those things so the pic seemed "right up my alley"...if I had a Winged Liberty Mercury Hat I'd wear it.
Avatar is a picture of one of 3 1861-o CSA wb102 half dollars that I cherry picked on eBay. F-12, F-15 and XF-40 all graded by PCGS. Picked these 3 up in less than a month, all for less than $150.
Maximinus or "Big Max" was the Emperor of Rome from AD 235 to AD 238. He was supposedly over eight feet tall and was a former wrestler. His reign ended the usual way for a Roman Emperor, he was murdered. My nickname, since the day I was born, is Moose. Few people call me by my real name. My son was also a large baby so keeping the the tradition, my father nicknamed him MJ.
My cat Pumpkin after a grooming. I got tired of my 28 peace $ avatar. I might change it in a couple months, but don't tell Pumpkin.
