Which way to get better price for proof prez dollar?.

single proof - $5.95
4 pc proof - $14.95 ($3.74 each)
14 pc proof set -$26.95 (minus $22.95 for 10 pc proof set) remainding $4.00. turn out to be $1.00 each.
14 silver proof set -$44.95 (minus $37.95 for 10 pc silver proof set) remainding $7.00. turn out to be $1.75 each).

finally, i would select 14 pc clad proof set for cheaper prez dollars inside.

i might buy 5 set of silver proof set and 10 set of clad proof set. forget about the single and 4 pc set.

 

hi elaine. i don't think the silver is an option...........no legislation to authorize production,even though the red book says otherwise.

the silver proof set is just like last year set. except it will include four pieces of golden color prez dollars. and this set is still called silver proof set.

i think i estimated wrong of these prez dollars. i think the mint only add $4.00 for proof prez dollars to silver proof set, clad proof set and the new packaging mint set. why?. first, the silver proof set cost $37.95 last year. but the mint increase the price for 5 pc silver quarters. so i estimate they increase the silver proof set by $3.00 to $40.95. second, the mint change the packaging for mint set. thus i think they increase the mint set from $16.95 to $18.95. the clad proof set instead was decrease its price from $23.95 last year to $22.95.

so finally they add $4.00 to these three sets.
silver proof set $40.95 + $4.00 = $44.95.
clad proof set $22.95 + $4.00 = $26.95
mint set $18.95 + $4.00 = $22.95

what you mean by limited quantity on the prez 4 pc set?. the mint started selling it on june 19, 2007. can this sell out too?.

and where did you get the quotes on the silver and clad proof sets?

Am I missing something on the Mint site or do you have another source?

 

Oh, and from the US Mint Pressroom "There is no mintage limit, and no order limit for the 2007 United States Mint Presidential $1 Coin Proof Set."

is the proof prez set ($14.95) same casing with those of future silver proof set and clad proof set?. why 4-pc prez set included in the silver proof set and clad proof set did not increase its prices. is it because the first came out prez 4-pc proof set quality is better than others?. any one know?.

today is the first day to order 2007 proof set and the last day to order 2006 one. this year will include prez 4 pc set at $26.95. i think this is the best way to obtain prez dollars. i will buy some.

 

Buy the proof presidents in bulk.

i bought 10 set of 2007 proof set and 2 set of 2006 mint set. i will check the silver 2007 silver proof set and 2007 mint set too. the box is different right now.

i knew the better way to get prez dollars proof is to buy the 14 pc clad proof set @$26.95. but then, the prez proof mintage will be very high. should i buy or should i pass?. how about you?.
