What would you pay for this?

    Indisputably; there's a reverse die crack known for them which is visible on this one.

    They're not particularly rare, and readily available (PCGS Auction Prices has 274 records of sales) in all grades including Mint State. Even discounting the scratched "X" on the bust, I don't know if I can offer it AG3 for grade; it's close.

    The most recent sale of an AG3 in a slab - and that coin had a markedly better reverse than this one - was for $129 at Stacks a couple months ago (pretty well-bought IMO). I think $149 for this is at best "top of retail," and it's hardly like you'll never see one again.

    I would wait for something a bit better without any problems. It would not cost that much more.
