My guess is there should be more common 1 goldgulden/ maybe one day someone will find a hoard and keep it secret.

If it is auctioned abroad, yes, if it is auctioned here in Zagreb again, then I wouldn't be so sure it would reach 6 figures..., the price when its current owner won it in 1996 was 72000 DM, so even if he only wanted to get back what he paid for it, it would still be too much for me...

I have the money to buy it at its original price, but I don't want to pay over 10000 EUR for a single coin, there are very few coins I would consider going over that barrier for, and while this one is one of them, I still probably wouldn't bid more than 15000 EUR at most for it, and that solely because it is the only Croatian Gold coin that is centuries old, otherwise I probably wouldn't be interested in acquiring it.

    72K DM in 1996= 100K Ca$ = 70K E

I know many coins escalated in price over past 28 yrs. In Stacks event that Danish 1496 AV Noble (Hans I) sold 1M+

I could still afford it at that price, but I wouldn't buy it, for that amount of money I could get an Aureus of Diocletian, Solidus of Julian the Apostate, Mohur of Shah Jahan, Square Mohur of Akbar, Roman Republic 60 Asses, Carthaginian Stater, Dinar of Chandragupta II, Dekadrachm of Hieron II, etc. all together, and I like all of those coins better, so unless the owner decides to sell it for way less than he paid for it, I wouldn't even contemplate buying it.

Yes, the prices at that auction surprised me.

Yes, but still I doubt that there will be a lack of interest for it.
