Mystery coin

    I was quite surprised to find a bronze coin showing a cross above a lion. Never encountered this before myself, though it could be common. The reverse looks also weird to me. Any coin-friend has an idea? Thanks. LioCross O.JPG LioCro R.JPG

    Hmm, it looks to be from a much later period than I browse. The iconography reminds me of coins of the Seljuks of Rum. It's probably not, but try browsing CNG and ACsearch using "AE, lion, cross". Maybe you'll come across something similar, then you can use that information to search more specifically.
