Ok, i have 3 coins for you guys to look at. 2 of them are US Errors, and one of them is european. The dime looks like the entire die was sand-blasted. The nickel has weird lines coming from jeffersons face, and out of the back of his head. My dealer has no idea what either of them are. Please help.
lol, duh about the dime and nickel, butim trying to figure out what the errors are on them. Edit: Oh, thanks for telling me about the franc. Any value to it?
The dime: Probably acid bath. the Jefferson: Possibly a polished die, to remove a clash with the reverse.
Good one on the Dime. I've seen this effect before and no one I know knows what it is. It can not be acid because acid would disove the coin equally. I doubt anhone would sandblast a coin. I also don't think it came from the Mint like that. Sure would be nice to know it's past.
