I cant figure out if this letter is positive regarding receiving the gold spouse coin, of just an update that none have been allocated. 'Regret to inform" sounds like there is no hope of me getting it, but "Please expect your items to arive" sounds like I will get my order... Has anyone else received a similar letter? Got one of these E-mail to. From what I understand , everyone that has one back ordered got one of those things or some version of it and really does not mean anything except that your order is back ordered. Heck I think some people got one that have already received their coins. I ordered the MW spouce coins 5 hours after they went of sale, just as a project to see what happens. My order was well after the sell out. I think the chances of me getting the MW is about the same as Bill clinton appearing on the golden spouce coin. Well not that good. I am sure many who got this E-mail spam will get these coins but there well be many who will not. I really hate it when people/mint does stuff like that. The lettering could have been far more accurate than this. One should never be told to expect something that for many will be a long shot at best. It is just not the right thing to do. I truly hope I am wrong and everyone that ordered one will get them. Good luck and what do I know.
I got that same message and I got another letter today from the Mint indicating that they expect all the First Spouse coins to ship by early September. Based on that, I would say that an early August date is very positive. My date is 8/1/07.j Just make sure your credit card isn't about the expire!
I would guess they sent these emails out since it has been one month since we all ordered and they want us to know the are still working on sending them out. The problem is the earlier orders have a later ship date then the last orders. This leads me to believe that they have already allocated the coins to the orders and many won't get what they ordered unfortunately. I hope I am wrong as I also have two later orders that show these early shipment dates but i doubt I see them, only time will tell though. My earlier orders show ship dates of August 15th and September 4th.
Since I only ordered 1 of each, I'm hoping that they catch so many multiple orders trying to circumvent the limit that they have enough for me to get 1.
