    Cool.
I don't specifically collect these, but would be happy with either of them in my collection.

Those are great portraits of both emperors. Nice tan patina, too as I believe you prefer?

Really nice coins, I have nothing from these Emperors...but will try to fix that in future. Sadly, I won a FDC Trajan Decius Aureus/ and a Severus Alexander Aureus in CNG Triton 1 Auction. The coins were sent via registered letter post....never arrived:(!!!!! Even Lloyds of London (Insurer) came up cold/ end result/ I left money on account with CNG. In Triton 2, I ended up winning an FDC Elagalabus Aureus/ and really rare FDC Constantius II Solidus Antioch Mint (2 known):). Now/ all auction houses send my coins via "neutral" reg. letter/ no more losses!

VERY NICE posts!! Love the portraits and denominations!

I'll just add a antoninianus of Decius and a sesterces of Gallus:

I guess I might as well add this sestertius of Trajan Decius as well...Since I was impressed by the realism of the portrait...and I LOVE the 'Big bronze' types:D

Since this has turned into a mega-thread, lets go for educational. I have seen several antoniniani of this period that were overstruck on earlier coins. I do not consider this a value adding situation unless you can ID the original type. The one below is overstruck on a Geta denarius.

Eduard's nice semis is better looking than most. On the other end of the AE size scale is my uglier than average double sestertius. These vary a lot in size, workmanship, condition and price. 32.5g is smallish
