Hole filler nickel (49S)... Had to clean off some grime, but it was worth it

Out of the 10 rolls I searched yesterday the most interesting find was a dateless buffalo! I'm too lazy to post a pic now but I can make out an 8 and since it lacks a mintmark I know it must either be an 18 or 28. I also found a non-war nickel 42P.

First Box of Halves for the week: Skunk. I'm going to do 4 more this week and hopefully catch up. My goal was ten ounces of silver which I got in September and October.

CWR. This was the only roll that yielded silver. There were several NICE Bicentennial Halves.

I picked up $100 in CWR halves at a bank on my way home from work tonight. The rolls were likely another CRHers dump because they contained only common coins plus 5 NIFC.

    Oh well, better than nothing!

Indeed... I got 5 rolls of MWR halves from my bank's vault today... total skunk... not even a NIFC.

MWR requires bulk searching in my experience. 5-6 boxes a week. I have done up to nine in a week and it paid off. Truble does like 13 boxes a week.

I agree... I usually get 1/2 a box at a time... Thanks to some car stuff and buying some "junk silver" on the cheap, I don't have as much to spend as normal right now...

Agreed... and I haven't gotten a "hit" yet with them... all my finds have either been in MWR out of boxes or teller trays.

Box 3 of halves this week: 3 40%ers

2 or 3 more boxes on Friday. Rough month compared to my last two.
