Hi folks, Every year some friends and I get each other some gifts for Saturnalia(christmas). It's usually nothing too much, but this year I wanted to get my friend something a little extra. It's been a hard year for all of us but especially hard for him. He likes the history surrounding the Crusades so that's where I got the idea for this coin. Kingdom of Sicily. Fredrick II Billon Denaro How did I do?
well, i think it's a cool gift for sure. is your friend a coin person or have they shown interest in your collection?
A little. When I gave him and another good friend an Roman coin they were shocked. They are still in that "if it is this old then it should be in a museum" phase
Does one of your friends happen to be Dr. Jones? Definitely a really nice gift and very cool of you to do this for your friends. I'm not getting any coins from anyone IRL but I'll most likely be getting cash, which will be going towards the "ValiantKnight to FUN show or bust" fund
Really cool. A few months ago I bought a Carthaginian coin for my daughters fiance who wouldn't shut up about Hannibal. Went down a treat.
Thanks guys. I think he'll like it as well. As for the coin, do I have the ID right? Is it Fredrick II of Sicily?
