    The obverse of this coin has no legend but rather an anchor which is surrounded by symbols. The reverse shows an elephant walking right. Could you please help me find the attribution of that original coin. Anchor O.JPG AnchorElf R.JPG

    That style of anchor is typical of Seleukid coins, and elephants are common on those.

    Go to CNG's archives and search for "Seleukid, anchor, elephant, AE" and you'll find your answer :)

    oh yeah, those are cool. the anchor symbol is set a macedonian shield, neat coin 7C.
