I just purchased a sealed Perth Mint box of 2017 Silver 1oz Roosters. Is there any reason from a collector value standpoint to keep the box sealed or is it find to open and make sure everything is as it should be?

    Thanks!

I know what is in there. I am just wondering if there is any additional collector value to a sealed box over time.

To the small handful of people who care about such things - yes. To the rest of the world - no.

    And that's the true answer.

Thank you I decided to open it. I am keeping the rolls sealed however at least for now.

That seems like the right decision. A lot of big sellers bring in Perth stuff by the pallet, I don't think most of their products carry the same premiums with unopened boxes that some of the mint products do. They don't seem to have the production and shipping delays the mint does which gives some things a pretty good premium for being strike strike eligible

But but it could be put on fleabay in 5 years as an ultra rare unopened box:wideyed:
