Hi guys, just picked up this shield nickel at a local coin show, just wondering what the grade was, and I also noticed some type of weird line running through the top of the coin, so I thought it might be a die crack? If it is, what type of value would a piece like this command?
    Thanks in advance. 20161120_221243.jpg 20161120_221255.jpg 20161120_221441.jpg

The grade is perhaps VF20 details, damaged/corroded. The line at the top is a die crack.

Die cracks add nothing to the value. I would estimate a value of $25 or less on this coin.

VG details. Worth $5-10 to me, though I would not buy it.

Agreed on it being around VF details. I wouldn't buy it unless I was going to give it away to a potential new collector.
