HI my name is Travis Kalchik i am 26, and an avid coin collector. I have studied the surface of this coin for a bit in the plastic, i am hesitant to remove it because i am Novice, i was able to read through a ton of descriptions regarding this coin and i have found this description that seems to match it perfectly. But again i am a novice i would sure take some tips hints to verify this, i Have only inspected the coin using a 10x 20.5mm lens. Calabria, Tarentum AR Nomos. Circa 272-235 BC. Obverse: Youth on horse left, crowning hishorse, cornucopiae above horse, FAGEAC below. Reverse: Phalanthos riding dolphin left, holding trident and kantharos; POLY behind; TARAS below. References: Vlasto 93, 822 if i had to take a wack at it, i would guess this coin is not in the best condition, furthermore the plastic somewhat obscures the surface but i sure had trouble finding information on it. Any help would be very kind. If i can take it out let me know because i will and i can post better pictures. perhaps Vlasto 828? i am not sure. Was able to verify all items in description with exception of the TXT located below the horse. Thank you all and have a great day! Again sorry for the poor pictures.
