I'm not a copper guy but I'm goin through some old wheaties in a jar I forgot I had.
To me its a die crack as good as I've seen them. Also, I'm not an error guy either.
What do you all think, is it worth holding on to or is just a hit (pmd) that caused it?

Looks like it. Pretty common area for cracks to appear. They call them "cracked skulls"

It's pretty beat up. I found a jar & a pitcher full of wheaties I must've put up several years ago & forgot about.
Decent enough find for a crap shoot.

I don't see much value there. Keep looking maybe you'll get bit by the error bug when you find coin worth a $ till you notice that little extra ear and make $250

Lol, I don't mind a cracked coin, I have several. This one isn't anywhere near $250 but its worth more than a cracked wheatie. Postumus Mossy Bottom Barn Hoard.jpg

    I remember that one.

To say I don't collect cents in my OP was probably a bad choice of words. I have probably a few hundred I just don't go out of my way to aquire nor spend much time on them.
Although since I rediscovered a hoard I pushed aside some years ago I've spent more time. Atleast until my latest auction finds come in then I'm back to my ancients.
