I found a little time today to stop at a Pawn shop. I was amazed at the prices they had on American coins. 100 bucks on Morgans across the board, Eagles at 75. Ounce Bullion at 50.
Found these Pesos at $20 a piece. Yeah, they didn't stay on the shelf at that price. All weighed, felt right, and looked right. Sold
There are a few pieces that I need to look up. Mainly a few MS Morgans. I don't mind spending a hundred bucks on a nice Mint state coin especially when they have some cool die markers.
    Anyways, the Pesos.

Nice find! It looks like they did not know all their items and you found a good deal among mostly overpriced inventory.

Gotta love it. Reminds me of the pawn shop I found selling 1964 Kennedy halves for $5 each, when melt was in the $7-8 range. Some of their halves were priced at $8 or $10, but not all.

The downside, of course, is that the folks selling them to the store probably got not much more than face value.

Yeah, I usually roll past any shop in the area because of the drug activity, it was nice to have found something worth the sale without haggling.

    Hello Group,
My father found this while metal detecting an older home in Houston's East end.
I framed and hung it above his toilet so he could enjoy taking a wizz.
    It now hangs over mine,
