There's a ton of these sellers going for the free profits from selling fakes! I could be wrong but I think all his coins are fake, I won't waste time looking at every single one! :inpain: Check his feedback score and read the comments, ebay needs to stop this crap but chances are they won't and I'm beyond reporting fakes only to be ignored! Look at the pic, neck area between the jaw bone and necklace, there's other red flags as well! :brb: Oh and selling below melt!

Yep, whole bunches of these appear and disappear on there. Almost always with the random string of letters as a user id and zero to limited feedback.

I've wondered if you order something like this and then raise a case with ebay for being a fake, would you win and would the money come from eBay or from the seller?

Eek - 55 items sold - get ready for a flood of back feedback and then a deleted account.

eBay is good on getting your money back if it is a fake. It may take a while, but they will pull through. At least they did for me when I purchased a fake silver round.
My question is, how does this scam work for the seller? If they make an account and sell a bunch of fakes, do they sell a bunch of stuff, close the account, take the money from their bank account and run, leaving eBay to cover the damage? I thought with new accounts, eBay was slow to process the payments to the seller's account.

    Hello Group,
Such a great argument for using TPG, or at the very least a known & reputable dealer, especially if you are a novice collector.

Yep, great news! Some people are idiots, they see something that's too good to be true and they jump on it!

Yeah I took a gamble and bought a locket with a fake gold coin in it! :( I took it to my LCS had it scanned by XLR and it turned out fake! Had my LCS snap a pic of the results on my cellphone, opened a case and got my money back. They'll get your money back if you can prove it's a fake and the money comes from the seller! :D

Yeah, feebay used to seem to care, they even sent us a young lady to appease us at one point but basically that went by the wayside quickly! :cigar: Feebay only cares about making money, still you can get some good buys as I've bought plenty of gold coins with no problems. That locket above is the only fake gold I ever bought off their site and that was okay as I knew ahead of time I was taking a gamble. :shame:

But what if the seller has already taken the money and split...

That's a tricky one and I don't have an answer if that's the case, I just don't know.:(
