Please give your grade opinion on the following 1885-CC: http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb185/hgraves_2007/1885CC-Obverse.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb185/hgraves_2007/1885CC-Reverse.jpg
BeauCoinCollect I grade it as "It would look better in my collection than yours." If not, then an MS-63
It looks like an MS-63 candidate to me! Also, it is probably a listed or non-listed VAM as there is quite a bit of Counter Die Clashing on the Obverse and Reverse and Die Cracks on the Reverse. It has what appears to be a prominent Clashed "N" in front of Miss Liberty's neck and besides the Counter Die Clashing on the Reverse, I wonder what is going on between the "A" and "M" and above the "M" in AMERICA. Frank
Good eye, didn't notice this when I took the pictures. After reviewing the GSA holder again it seems that a piece of plastic is between the "A" and "M" from the crack in the GSA holder itself.
MS 63 obv, MS 64 rev MS 63 is my grade. I must say, all these GSA CC morgans are beginning to look the same to me :goofer:
