1000th Post Extravaganza! Yup, this will be my 1000th post here on Coin Talk. I have spent a lot of time learning here, and laughing, and arguing, and just being an overall smart a$$. Sorry mods. I know I have probably pushed the limits here once or twice (especially in the last month) and I apologize to them for that. I really enjoy it here and I have taken that for granted as to just how easy I could have been banned lately. Only been banned once by the way, but it didnt last long (Im not supposed to talk about it). Anywho, just want to say thanks to those who have looked past, well my more annoying attributes. Also just want to add that I probably wouldnt be talking this much if it werent for scotch. The point of this thread is to show a coin, or two, that reminds you as to why you collect coins, whether it be a favorite design, or a coin that holds sentimental value. It doesnt need to be your most valuable or rarest, but maybe a more humbling example. US, World, or Ancients are all welcome here. Below are ten of my favorites. Coins that will probably be burried with me, or maybe left to kids, if I ever have any. These coins, are examples of my favorite types to collect, and also hold memories as to why I collect coins and who started me in numistmatics. I know I have shown most of these before and am sorry if you have seen them already, but these ones are special and I even added more pictures to give a better idea of what they look like in hand. So post the coins that make you the happiest to have!
I've posted it many times before, but I really like this coin. I have a clear top 4 or 5 favorites in my collection, and this is one of them:
Augustus denarius to commemorate Julius Caesar This one just makes me smile Found this raw and picked it up for melt, $22!
Not to be facetious but all I need to do is open up CT. Reading and seeing all your posts tells me all I need to know why I enjoy this hobby!

Coins are like spiritual friends, They reference our past, they each.... with unspoken voice..... exude fond memories, they have their own unique beauty and mystique, they trust us to take care of them and they will last into eternity.....beyond us, to those we so designate.
