Should I trade a 1971 10 pfennig coin for a "george VI king emperor" 1943 coin?

I think the coin is a half rupee coin. It is in poor condition (friend says he found it in a sandpit) and its the color of an old penny. The front is in nice condition though. At the back I can faintly see "1943" with a large 9 and two dashes on both sides . I can also see 4 words , 2 of them being "india" and "rupee" . There are floral designs too. I'll check the measurements tomorrow to find out what denomination it is of.

So, can anyone tell me about this coin and what its worth and if this is a good deal?

I believe the George vi rupee coins of that time period are silver, and the pices are bronze. I am mainly into US coins, so you should double check that. The 10 pfennig has no precious metal and is worth FV.
Either way neither coin has much of a premium, personally I'd make the trade. But if I were you I would decide which coin you enjoy more and base your decision off of that

The 1943 1/2 Rupee KM# 552 has a silver content of .0939 ASW. and propably not any collector value above silver price, being worn as you say it is.
1971 10 pfennig KM#108 is made of brass clad steel and is valued at 15 cents
    in XF-40.
