I have a couple of tokens I need to send in for grading - wondering if there are any ANACS promotions currently underway?
I got the same e-mail. But I never heard of an upgrade coupon before. What is an upgrade coupon and what can you do with it?
Thanks for the info SuperDave. In the past the 15 days turned out to be more than that so I don't put much faith in it.
I don't think the certificates include free shipping, though, which is the largest benefit of the ANACS specials.
I seem to remember some folks here speculating that ANACS is trying to front-load revenue, and wondering if they're having cash-flow problems. An offer like this (pay now for service later) would certainly fit into that narrative. I hope that's not what's going on.
Well, as I noted before, they're the only TPG (of the eBay acceptable ones) that charges you as soon as the coins arrive, as opposed to just before they return them to you (after grading). While the coupons/certificates could be viewed as further front-loading of revenue, I actually think it's a way of charging a membership fee without charging a membership fee.
I emailed them because the wording of the offer was a little confusing and I wanted to confirm. The second offer is for 30 coins for 199 or $6.63 per coin plus shipping. If you send in all 30 at once and value the total under $1,000 then tack on another $1.10 per coin. At $7.73 per coin you're in pretty good shape relative to the other TPGS. I've taken advantage of several of their offers lately and have been very pleased with the results. Frankly I think they're grading a little tougher then NGC and PCGS now. They seem to be a lot quicker to assign a details grade.
No. their shipping includes insurance. If you pull up their submission form page 2 has the fees in the aggregate.
