the u.s. mint had a recent sale for 30% off in some cases on their back inventory .. they had good deals
The trouble with buying some of this stuff is that it’s coins that others returned. The coins might have spots and marks. Years ago I bought a Gen. Douglas MacArthur Uncirculated $5 gold. It had enough marks to take it down to MS-66 or 67. That’s a really low grade for these coins which almost always MS-69. Of course the price of gold has bailed me out on that one.
I have changed my television contract. It doesn't come on much on this series. I just happened to watch the show that had dealer that sells a lot of great coins at a high price. I can't remember his name, but I almost didn't recognize him because he now has a goatee. The show was selling 1804 without the "In God We Trust" on them. He was advertising them for sell at about $3,800 each and you can split the payments. They were graded 66. He had a bunch.
