Help Grading 1904 o Morgan Dollar

    I see an AU-53.
    And it looks like it needs an acetone bath.
    I think that's a fingerprint going from the obverse field on to the Liberty's chin.

    OK thank you that's not bad I guessed au myself so I'm happy I paid a fair price and will that depreciate the value if I do that with the acetone because that was my first thought as well gross finger print lol

    Yeah. Mid-AU with a weak stike to begin with

    That fingerprint looks permanent unfortunately. It looks like it was probably dipped and retoned at some point

    Should I bother cleaning it or no and what could I sell it for you think

    Acetone (pure, not nail polish remover) will not change the coin in any way.
    All you're trying to do is remove the fingerprint if possible.

    How much you could get for it depends upon how successful the acetone bath is.

    Really nice AU55. Also, it's a 1904-O. There's a mintmark on there. Worth about $30, in my opinion. I would not dip it or clean it. It's pretty as it is.
