Is it bad that I'd rather have 3 U.S. Quarters? Hello snack machine!

You need about 30 yuan to get anything at a Taiwanese vending machine...

As already said (but I didn't notice at first): Taiwan, 5 Yuan Copper-Nickel KM:552 - there are a few identical to it on VCoins, but with different dates, selling for around €5 in MS-60.

One listing says: CHINA, REPUBLIC OF, TAIWAN, 5 Yüan, 1998

    Here is one listing's image:

What is the U.S. conversion rate on that price?

Give them $5.00 US and they will take the coin off your hands....... it's the classic old let's hide the Yuan in the coin star machines ploy.

I looked up the exchange rate on one of the many internet sites that exist (and there are many if you never need to know a conversion for just about any currency) and at this moment it says that 5 Chinese Yuan is worth 0.73 $US. I think Taiwan is tied to the Chinese Yuan, but someone else may know better.
