So bummed! I have all these 1982/3 P&D Quarters but none of them are quite pretty enough! Probably still hold on to them tho, I guess you never know! What would you all do?! First pic are the d, second are the p's.
Below where you type, select "upload a file" then upload your file. Notice: if your file is over 5Mb (or somewhere around there) it won't upload. Shrink it down a touch and try again.
Lmao! Yes, they're pretty rough... But I'll still hold em, just because. Who knows, in the year 3012 they may be high commodity!!
Ok..I think they will still be worth $3.75 then. But we won't be around to find out Spend it. A slice of pizza and a soda sounds good!
Circulated coins really are not worth saving. I dont save / collect clad coinage as a rule, with the ecception of errors, proofs, and a few others. I would take those 82/83's to a coin shop and buy me a nice xf or better pre 64 quarter or a recent [clad] proof.
They need to be really high grade to be worth more than face value. Save them if you wish. They will always be worth 25 cents.
Actually these really aren't too bad. The dates have a premium in AU and sometimes even in XF. The one '83-D looks pretty nice; mid grade-AU with a decent strike. I save the type "d's and anything in AU. These coins are not scarce but there's a lot of demand because they are hard to find in MS-60. Collectors who can't locate or afford uncirculated often turn to AU or XF.
Right....nice ones are tough to find at almost any price. Only found in orig. rolls...but there aren,t any left. Most went directly into circulation and few were saved.
They can also be found in Mint Souvenir Sets from their respective years, but many of those are dogs as well.
