My wife found this on one of our beaches in NC... maybe someone could "attribute" it?

We "rocked" again last night in the front row at the Shubert theater. We enjoyed "Signs of Life - The Essence of Pink Floyd". I was handed another guitar pick for the collection.:) This one is from Mr. Jon Stankorb. He is a master on the guitar & he wowed us with his David Gilmore & Pink Floyd tunes.

I would recommend this act to anyone that enjoys the guitar of David Gilmore. You can find them on the Internet.

Collecting guitar picks, coins, & rocks is normal right? o_O

Sweet (cool score, C89) => ummm, I saw Pink Floyd live in Vancouver for the Division Bell tour (1994) ... wow, that's now 22 years ago (how time flies)

I've never seen them live, but I still think of Divison Bell as "that new Pink Floyd album" :oldman:.

I thought I saw the Watersless Pink Floyd on their Division Bell tour but looking at tour cities, I must be mistaken. It was the 1987 Momentary Lapse of Reason tour. Time flies!

At the concert, a guy next to me started bumping into me and getting a bit too friendly, even for a high-guy at a Pink Floyd concert ... so when I turned to tell him to back-off, I noticed that he was in an epileptic fit!! (later I discovered that it's not uncommon for strobe-lights to set-off one of these fits)

... I looked around with wide, stoned eyes and was amazingly glad to see a man from a couple of rows back heading towards us ... he recognized what was happening and assisted me with laying him on the ground and making sure the guy didn't bite or swallow his tongue (my spaniel used to have these fits, so I knew that eventually the dude would bounce-back and would be dazed for a while, but okay) ...... just another brick in the wall

My youngest daughter has 5 forms of epilepsy. I have dealt with the various episodes, even the full tonic-clonic (grand-mal) episodes on many occassions. Yes, strobes can definitely set off an episode. (We learned THAT at a Disney World ride!) Sounds like you and the "helping friend" helped at the right moment! Just helping the person down, ensuring they are in a relatively safe environment, turning them on their side is all that is needed. Afterwards, they will be dazed, confused, sometimes angry as the effects wear off. No need for an ambulance unless the siezure is prolonged (otherwise epileptics have never ending expensive ambulance bills!)

Personally, I have been in many circustances where I had helped or assisted when someone has gone into an episode. The most difficult part is controlling the good samaritans from doing the wrong things to help or to control their anger/surprise at the victem.

I have no guitar pics, but I do have Dimebag Darrell's Dimeslime guitar which he and the band (Pantera) autographed for me back in the late 90s. I was quite the metal head back in high school! IMG_1237.JPG

Oh, but I definitely don't want to know what you had to do to score that sweet guitar!!

=> what happens on the road, stays on the road!!

Totally jealous ... but man, I would have loved to see him/them back in the 70's

    [IMG][IMG]

... however, I'm sure that he was totally bringin' it (Ozzie will definitely be one of the cryogenic Futurama heads, eh?)

=> very cool, Carthago (I'm sure that it was good times!!)

For any of you rock hounds or gem heads - can anyone recommend a reputable online dealer? My son has expressed an interest and I sure don't want to stifle his curiosity! If you don't want to post publicly, feel free to P.M.

Here's a couple of coins that may be geologically related...

Unsure why Wildwinds does not include the final C on the obv even though all the pictures they have include it. My coin includes it so the C is mentioned in the obv legend. Also, the [CE] is off flan.

My neighbor rushed to my house this evening. He asked me assistance in identifying a statue made of black basalt. I think it weighs more than 5 kg. and measures no less than 25 cm of height. At first glance, I guessed I have Apollo ahead. But he thinks it might be Melqart. That is really something great and totally strange to me. Could you please give us a hand? I have nobody I can count on here. Thanks a lot. StatApol.JPG

Hi Steve. Thank you for replying. I just wanted to make sure it's Apollo. And then, what possible value can such a stone have? Cheers..
