Wow that's a nice one! Looks like a MS-63 or possibly a MS-64. a few bag marks on the face and a little on the breast feathers. Freddypm
MS64 here...got to look at the cheek and the hair lines above the ear along with the breast feathers on the reverse.
I'm going to go 63.5 on this one. Could go either a 63 or a 64 -- depending on the cheek and fields...Mike
Are you referring to the reverse? And if so are you referring to the black spot? If so that is a part of the GSA holder, and I believe it is visible on all gsa holders.
I am going to say MS-64 but no higher due to the problems on the Obverse! There is rub (friction) and nicks in the fields and on Miss Liberty's cheek, weakness of the hairlines Southeast of her' ear and there is a rim bump to the Southwest of the second Star to the left of the Date! I can't see many problems with the Reverse other than some friction on the Eagle's breast and in the fields. It is possible that the coin is a listed or unlisted VAM! There appears to be some Counter Die Clashing on the Obverse in front of Miss Liberty's neck which may be a Clashed "N" and also at the "V" of her' hair below the bun. There is also Counter Die Clashing between the Eagle's left wing (on the right as you are viewing the coin) and the Wreath. Although it is hard to tell, there appears to be what looks like Counter Die Clashing of Lettering above "GOD WE TRUST". There are also some Die Cracks on the Obverse and Reverse within the Lettering and near and along the rim. Frank
