...it was a fun trip, but I'm glad to be back at home (though I'd rather not be at work right now). Didn't find any coins in circulation worth keeping, or any places I could pick up older coins, and I meant to go to the bank there and pick up some CU 1000, 2000, and 5000 Colones bills, but didn't have the time. Oh, well. In summary, we did a canopy/zip-line tour, slid down a 1000 ft. long waterslide in the rainforest, rode horses, relaxed with a mud-bath and hot-springs, went snorkling (and got stung by teeny jellyfish), sat on the beach and swam in the ocean, etc. All in all, a good time.
Welcome home! Sounds like you had a very enjoyable time, even though you didn't pick up the coins you wanted. Maybe now you can relax at work and recover from your good time in Costa Rica. lol
Ha, well, I won't be going anywhere like that for a while, so the wife and I were glad to get away. My mum paid for the whole trip (brother, sister, step-sister, step-father, me, the wifey, and herself), and I doubt I we would have been able to afford for just to two of us to go, let alone everybody else.
