In some places this French clip is very entertaining and even educational. In others, it is god awful.

Since we have many newer members to this sub-forum, it might be good to reintroduce this movie.

Warning: The music is horrible. Reminds me of a jazz nightclub from the 60s. (The music might be more appropriate for the brothel at Pompeii featured in the film.)

(It takes the film about 25 seconds to start.)

I enjoyed the movie. I am surprised by their estimate of 10 million coins made by the mint at Lyons! That is a lot of coins for hand production.

I like the Roman movie very much, just a word to the wise when picking a sound man for your movies: don't choose the neurotic ADD guy.

Research the estimates of coin production for the late third century AD. Scary.

I enjoyed the movie and the information...but I'm still debating about the soundtrack LOL

Incredible just how many ancient coins were actually produced at one mint, let alone cumulatively (empire-wide) over all those centuries.

I enjoyed the film, although it did feel like a film that they would have shown in school back in the early 80s.

But my wife who watch it with me said "this film is terrible !"

Not the best sound quality. Like said reminded me of school in the late 70's early 80's. Amazed in production amount.
The music was a little naucious though.
