The A and M in AMERICA, on the reverse, do NOT touch. That is what makes it valuable. The regular strike the A and M DOES touch. That is the difference.
I am sure you must have referenced the Lincoln Cents red book...it states "The letters AM have significant space between them; FG is distant from the building"...
Obviously you have not studied it hard enough. The AM is separated and the FG is close to the building. If it wasn't authentic, ANACS would have never slabbed it.
TJ1952Well-Known Member Sheila- Did you ever sell that 1999 WAM? TJ1952, Jul 4, 2016Report Reply Sheila RuleyThe short blonde girl I just did the other day. $130.00 to a dealer. Sheila Ruley, Jul 4, 2016Report Reply TJ1952Well-Known Member Oh really? Was it at a coin shop? Hmmm, thought it would have fetched a little more then that. Oh well, you still made a profit. Maybe you should read this. This is what mine was. If you don't believe it, maybe you should talk to some other members on here.
I am not questioning your reference or expertise...I am just asking and sharing what is in the Red Book of Lincoln Cents due to the fact that it is considered a "rare" coin and in addition, you should have gotten more for your coin. I am so glad for your.

Also, you can't always go by the prices in the books. The reason is because it depends on the population found. The more that are found, the less rare it becomes, and therefore, the prices drop because they become less desirable by collecters. It also depends on what someone is willing to spend on it. There are lots of variations that come into play.
@Sheila Ruley That note can command a decent premium on ebay, maybe even worth sending in to be graded..its a binary and its a 7 digit binary cool find!
I poked around eBay for fun, people are buying regular $20 bills with nothing special for $22+... Had to laugh! Lol
I saw some on there too!! Some people are just ridiculous with claiming near solid numbers!! They didn't even have a pair, let alone near solid!! Wow, they need to do some research!!
My favorite was a "broken ladder". Just has different numbers. Lmao! Or the birthday notes, one was for 2012 BUT it was 2120! Lol
