    Just looking at the last picture I say no. See the plating issue on the Mintmark.

    Ok. I was looking more at the way the letters are distorted. I saw the plating was deteriorating around the D. Thank you for the information!

    You can always find distortion at that magnification. Ever see how quickly these are minted? That's why. Find a perfect one, then you got something. I'm serious. But at high magnification, every coin is unique. They're going to reveal evidence of slides, and smears, and double-hops, you name it, simply by virtue of the striking.

    But having said what I said, there are errors, too, that can only be found with the scopes. As you look at these, note the similar shapes that keep turning up. If they keep repeating, like the flat stem of the "T" in your pic, they're 99.99% a casualty of the striking, or struck-in grease. As you get to "know" these, it will only sharpen-up your skills, and we can all use some of that. :)
