What is the name of this error?

I collect coins that look odd or different than what that should look like. My husband found this dime... Can anybody Tell me what might have happened to this dime... It's noticeably smaller than a regular dime & seems to be capped..

    NO - Somebodey pounded the edge for some reason - maybe gonna try to make a ring but gave up - Definitely Post Mint Damage! Only one fingernail with polish? :)

    This coin has been "spooned". If you use the underside of a spoon and continually tap a coin around the outside perimeter, the metal will expand like it has in your photo. This is post-mint damage.

    Thank everyone. Yes, only one fingernail. Usually the thumbs.. They're the ones I see when I'm typing on my phone :D
