Yes, we made that trip to Gimbles. The shopping experience was certainly different back then. During my high school days, I worked weekends at my uncles Sunoco station in Valley Stream!

Reminds me of a commercial on tv I saw a number of years ago. A boss is walking while on his cell phone. Right as he fires one of his employees and laughs, a bus runs him over. Can't remember what the commercial was advertising for, but it was funny.

 

I buy blocks of $1 and $2 bills all the time from my bank. But for over a year they have not been able to get new $1 bills which sucks. I still almost always get new $2 bills and of course fan through them to see if I can find anything cool. That's how I have found what is considered very rare $2 star notes, insufficient ink error, some really cool radar and repeater notes. And at times serial numbers with 5 consecutive same numbers. You just never know what you will find. And I use some for tips which people always seem to love getting.
