Is this even considered an error with uneven pillars. Thin on the top and thicker on the bottom? Sort of wavy maybe? What do you guys think?
I think the effect you have in question may be from a weaker strike. As the die strikes a planchet the metal has to Flow into the details of the die. This process is effected by time, presure, temperture, so not all the coins look the same, expecially at the level you are inspecting them. This dose not mean that they are not error, because in a way the are, but a value added error, who can say. All coins really just look the same to the general public. Thank you. I do get into looking at the small details though. I do look at them through smaller magnification but I often use higher magnification for pictures.
