    Yeah Whitehead and Hoag was one biggest token and medal manufacturers around, back in the day. I appreciate the heads up. Wish I knew where Ha-Ha-City was? Anyone, know, is it St. Louis? View attachment 539613 View attachment 539614

    Here's a few of my latest token buys. I may post twice to include all the pics.

Also a fez token, very rare from the 1930's. I think I'll add more pics, I haven't been here for awhile. lol s-l14444600.jpg s-l8881600.jpg View attachment 549481 s-l1FezToken600.jpg s-l16FezToken00.jpg

    $_HumpBackObv57.JPG MiscHumpR.jpg scannedOct17th2010045.jpg scannedOct17th2010044.jpg Here's a couple more, the humpback man is from the late 1920's. It's from Victory Sparkler who went out of business after being sued and a company taking all their money. Actually they were sued twice. This token is one of my absolute favorites b/c my Grandfather gave me one in the early 1960's. Unfortunately, someone ripped me off for the one he gave me and my whole collection, I had at the time. The bottom lawsuit link is for the death of a child, the top link is related to Victory ripping off copyright issues, they made a toy and he stole their idea. Anyway, this token is around 1& 1/2" in diameter and chocolate copper, nice old patina.

    Here's a couple more, all sellers pics. Wonder Bread is an old one, but this anti-tobacco one is older and I think it's from England but I could be wrong. Oh, and the reverse of my pop-out Indian token/badge above, it has a patent date but I can't read it. I think it says 1932 but I could be wrong, what do you think? Tried to edit, only allowed the small pics, just click. ;)

    old49er;

    You have posted some nice quality strikes lately. Are these all from one source?

    Yes, these are all in my collections. That's mostly what I collect, old pictorial tokens. :D I say collections b/c I have many sub-categories such as whiskey and beer tokens maybe only 10-20 tokens, Indian tokens, maybe only 14 etc. I still collect coins, but I have a lot of tokens. wave.gif

    Nice tokens, fretboard. The Wonder Bread token must be from around the 1950s. I remember cheap bread like that.

    Found some interesting auction info on the Ceylon piece I just posted. In May of this year, Stephen Album Rare Coins sold one with an estimate of $150 and realized $375.

    I paid $15:D
