Picture updates for 1983 D DDR?

How about a image of the full obverse and reverse, that would help.

 

It looks convincing but, this era of Lincolns was littered with Md, Ddd, etc. Clear full size pics would be great.

No. If what you're seeing was indeed a "spread", why isn't only showing on certain areas/parts of the individual letters? I cannot recall exactly what this is, but has been discussed before if you wish to search old threads. Hopefully someone more involved and familiar in this area could better explain. @Jim M perhaps?

That said, I'd love to be wrong.

I would have have it checked out for sure. It seems to have the rite characteristics, I just can't tell for sure from the pictures. Good luck!

 

There are split serifs like I said from what I see it looks like a doubled die. submit it to wexler and hope for the best. I think it's good
