1962 Canadian penny no queen large A in the middle

    hello I am looking for input on this coin I acquired it today. I barely have experience with coins but this one had me at A the Canadian way eh. If interest comes I will post a picture.

    Definitely do post a picture!

    Most likely what happened it someone carved the obverse of the cent, effectively removing the Queen and leaving an A. Or, it could be a token of some sort.

    Looks like the Queen got ground off the coin and the 'A' stamped on later. Neat find.
