Here's a fun one that I don't often see posted. Got this for a decent price since 5 of them went up for auction on one Sunday at Great Collections.
Here is the way Felix Schlag designed the Jefferson Nickel. They made so many changes to the final design that one could say the mint took Schlag's design "under advisement" or as "a hint as to what was to come." This is a modern copy that was produced by a private mint. It's made of silver. Here is a 1938 Proof Jefferson Nickel. I've enjoyed owning this because it was the first of its kind.
Homemade means I submitted it, and the marks look bigger in photos. The coin is a 66/67, they tend to be generous when grading error coins since they can't compete in the registry.
