Can’t see your picture, but it’s easy enough to answer the question: it’s gold-plated.

This was often done for novelty purposes. The coin has little monetary (numismatic) value, but is worth the spot value of its underlying silver content: about $8.63 USD as of this typing. The amount of gold used in electroplating it is so trifling as to not be worth any additional premium.

But you could still argue for it being worth around ten bucks as a novelty, I reckon. Still a fun piece to have.

    Welcome!

I can’t find where I can create a new post. I found an odd penny and I’m trying to see if it’s worth anything.

I do not see that option for the attachment- and I do have some coins that were passed to me & I’ve gathered along the way I would like to share, some know the value- I have one in my hand that’s a silver dollar with the L and partial I in Liberty missing, assuming grease, however does this make it an error coin that has value? Date is 1972 and is not in perfect condition otherwise.
I’m also full of 3.1 g large & small no mint, d mint 1982 Pennies. I have nearly every year in wheat and a bunch multi colored dyes, DD errors, and other errors on various coins.
Is there still a market for selling these, the only coins I see on eBay with prices so high that I have get bought by fake accounts that end in “we’ve cancelled the sell , buyer closed account”. Any advice is greatly appreciated

I have a bicentennial mint d error filled d online I see these are valuable but I recently took my coin to try n get it graded but the coin collector informed me that it isn't worth anything. should I check somewhere else or are they correct, I'm asking because this is the 2nd time I've been to these people and they where quick to turn me away it's kind of discouraging honestly.

Filled D mint marks are very common. They are only worth face value. The others told you the truth.
