Hi all, and happy Sunday! Just thought I'd see if you thought this meets the criteria for FH if graded. Odds are that it won't be getting graded, at least not anytime soon. It's in my type set and will be staying there until I find an upgrade coin for it, if I ever do. Thanks! 20240825_150833.jpg 20240825_151136.jpg 20240825_150949.jpg 20240825_151018.jpg 20240825_151038.jpg

In my opinion, it is close to full head but the flat areas at the high points of the hair are enough to prevent it from getting a FH designation. It would probably be graded AU58.

The last photo makes me think that it might get a Full Head. The trouble I have with the others is that the surfaces are grainy. If that how the coin actually looks, I'd be concerned about "environmental damage." If not then you are okay.

The last I knew, the grading services will give a Full Head to a high end AU coin. The head does appear to have a wear spot on it.

Here is a piece that got a Full Head from NGC.

It looks like it but I would ask myself if the fees to get a FH for that date are worth it.

I say definitely FH. I wouldn't venture a guess on grade but it's very nice!

It’s close but that flat spot that’s over the ear could be a no no.

At the current time, it's staying in my album with no plans for grading. I'm just curious if it would get it or not. But yes, those fees and shipping costs definitely add to the decision on ever grading it or not. The next replacement, if one ever comes, will have to be quite the looker to bump her out of her spot!

It definitely doesn't look grainy in person. I just stink at coin photography no matter how hard I try. I just use my normal settings on my phone, take a few dozen pictures, crop them, then choose the ones that don't look entirely like junk. It's got plenty of original luster on it, and I bought it before the LCS owner was about to send it off for grading. Figured it would be a great coin for my type set, and a huge upgrade from what I had in it.

Sorry, but I disagree with most of the previous comments. I don’t think your coin will grade FH. First of all, because there’s too much visible wear and second because only high AU coins receive the FH designation. I’d say your coin is low AU or even AU details due to the rough surfaces and missing luster.
