I love the extra photo service that NGC provides. It brings out all the colours of a coin and makes them look fantastic. Here's a proof 1893 queen victoria crown that has just been done for me.
I agree that photo looks great. Happy you are pleased with the result. I personally have had some bad luck with NGC photos, mostly due to how they implement the service, less about the pictures themselves. As I have written here on CT in the past ~2022: I wonder if this is still true in 2024?
Are we talking about NGC Photo Vision? Here's one that sold on Heritage in 2022 that used the NGC images and those images are still up on NGC. https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/6323331-010/62/
They changed it in June 2023 so that now the photos are available on the cert verification page. https://www.ngccoin.com/news/article/11780/
I used NGC's Photo Vision service for the first time on my most recent invoice. Overall, I am very happy with their work. This medal is insanely difficult to photograph. They did an excellent job capturing the color of your crown - nice piece!
I haven't used the service, but have been lucky enough to have a few coins from submissions past to get "freebie" photos. These are used for internal, educational and other purposes. They are available for download with my submissions and I think show up when you look up certs. I think I've been lucky because all of these, I believe, are the sole pop for the types at NGC. Salm-Dhaun Rietberg Kamenz Ravensburg Gottingen I think the photos are superb and really enjoy any that come along with my submission results. I have others, but CT limits the number of photos in each reply.
