Exactly. When you run a business selling coins you should know the difference between a polished coin and a circulated coin. To label a coin as circulated just to CYA isn't an excuse, it's fraud when you as a seller know it's been altered.

Typical paranoia of a self centered fool...

Is it really that hard for you to understand WHY I found the listing and called you on your BS? Perhaps it's beyond your abilities to understand the obvious, but was because you ridiculously accused the seller of misrepresentation and is as simple as that, yet you have the gall to question the integrity of others?

I haven't the faintest idea who the seller was, but if you wish to lie and make up stories to blame others and/or cover for your own shortcomings, if there's proof I'll call you on it every time.

So it's still all his fault even though you just said its not as bad as in the photos, which is interesting considering how you were unable to interpret them in the first place. You first claim the photos were not representative of the coin, then after CBD says polished based upon the very same photos, you agree? How come most everyone else involved in this thread could see the obvious but you? Is it magic?

The man provided more than enough evidence for an educated buyer to make an educated decision. It's not his fault you were unable to interpret what everyone else here could, and still thought it a good idea to buy before bothering to ask for help. The guy even urged interested parties to do as the rest of us did and base their decision on the adequate photos, so what makes you so special that you should be held to a different standard? It's about time for buyers to start taking some level of personal responsibility for their own actions, including you. Publicly calling him a fraud when you've both lied to the board and still can't get your stories straight... how fitting.

Back when I was in high school I bought a bunch of similarly polished Columbian halves for melt and put them up on the gate at at the ranch and left them there for 5-6 years - all that time, rain, 100'+ temps toned them dark and then put them in tubes where they have been ever since. I'll have to find them sometime to see what they look like now.

Honestly man...I understand that it clearly states circulated in the listing. I also understand that it is very simple to hunt down an eBay listing very fast as Books did with yours and not be a stalker or have bad integrity. But dude...that coin is a but+hole walking and it very well may be circulated, but it's also polished horribly. I would 100% return that coin with out a shout of a doubt and not feel bad for the seller one iota in this situation.

Also...in this day and age, I would Never recommend anyone to post an active eBay listing of a coin they are interested in purchasing on a public forum. There are far more many sharks lurking and waiting to eat your dinner than there are friends who want to help you...and just as easily as Books found the "completed/sold listing"...someone could sniff out your coin and snake it. Just saying ;)

Good Luck either way and gotta Love Paul

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Wow, that coin is even worse in hand than it was in the sellers pics. And it was really bad in the seller's pics.

    Return it.
