Hi guys, I found a 1970 Jefferson nickel without a mint mark. No mint mark would usually mean the coin was produced at the Philadelphia mint. I have seen other posts stating that there were no nickels produced in Philadelphia in 1968, 1969 or 1970. I guess there must be some other explanation. Any ideas? Thanks.
It is possible your coin was struck with grease/ debris filled die at the mintmark, that would also make the mintmark weak or non-existant.
